I have a huge love for propaganda art. Preferably communist propaganda. It has such a lovely eerie quality to it. Plus the colors, poses, everything is so over the top (which is the point, I know). I just got my hands on a lovely Chinese propaganda art book, and now it sits happily with my Soviet posters book. <3 Both of these are great too. They both have a section explaining the context of the works, and translations of the titles and text in the posters. Really interesting stuff. And both of these were under $25 :O For full color pages. Can’t beat that. Click for high-res version
